Plagues and Diseases of Modae

Black Decay is the substance that brought the world of Modae to its knees about 600 years ago when the Prince of Shadows was unleashed onto the world. Black Decay has a powerful aura of death that slowly eats away at the mind and body of its exposed victims. Every day of exposure inflicts damage on your highest ability scores equally. To be healed by Black Decay, one has to head to Axis and visit the temple of Augustus Lightbearer.
An example, a characters with the following scores of 15 Strength, 13 Dexterity, 14 Constitution, 12 Intelligence, 10 Wisdom and 10 Charisma will have the following damage.
Day One of Exposure: -1 Str
Day Two of Exposure: -2 Str, -1 Con
Day Three of Exposure: -3 Str, -2 Con, -1 Dex
Day Four of Exposure: -4 Str, -3 Con, -2 Dex, -1 Int
Day Five of Exposure: -5 Str, -4 Con, -3 Dex, -2 Int, -1 Wis
Day Six of Exposure: -6 Str, -5 Con, -4 Dex, -3 Int, -2 Wis, -1 Cha
Day Seven of Exposure: -7 Str, -6 Con, -5 Dex, -4 Int, -3 Wis, -2 Cha
At this point, the character’s ability scores would all be at 8. However, this continues reducing them for everyday exposed and this can result in permanent death if the scores reach 0.

The Red Death

Vampire’s Bite (fort save 16+cha mod of biting creature (Contact), Incubation is 1 week, Damage is 1d6 con, 1d6 str)

Effects: Unlike normal diseases, vampire’s bite continues until the victim reaches Constitution 0 (and dies) or is cured as described below.

To be victim to a vampires is a powerful curse, not a natural disease. A character attempting to cast any conjuration (healing) spell on a creature afflicted with vampire’s bite must succeed on a DC 20 caster level check, or the spell has no effect on the afflicted character.

To eliminate Vampires bite, the curse must first be broken with break enchantment or remove curse (requiring a DC 20 caster level check for either spell), after which a caster level check is no longer necessary to cast healing spells on the victim, and the vampire’s bite can be magically cured as any normal disease.

An afflicted creature who dies of Vampire’s bite takes on the vampire template at midnight of the first night of its death.
